  • To inspire and instill the love of dance in each student so that they look forward to returning each week
  • To challenge students through dance education and discipline to be the best person they can be
  • To communicate to the students via examples and terminology the goal for the class
  • To use corrections as well as a hands on approach to help students improve
  • To create an atmosphere where diverse populations are made comfortable
  • Expected to create choreography for the annual Spring Concert

  Pay Scale

  Every employee is designated as either part-time, full-time, or contract. All new and rehired employees will work on an introductory basis for the first 90 calendar days after their date of hire. If CCD determines that the designated introductory period does not allow sufficient time to thoroughly evaluate the employee’s performance, the introductory period may be extended in the company’s sole discretion for a specified period of time. The following benefit programs are currently available to dance teachers and staff:

  • Social Security, workers’ compensation, state disability, and unemployment insurance
  • Free dance classes for all staff at CCD
  • Reduced tuition for children and spouses/life partner
  • Holidays per studio Calendar
  • Festivals or seminars compensation should be discussed on an individual basis with the director

  The normal work schedule for all employees may vary over a seven-day period based on dance class scheduled times and student enrollment. Management will advise employees of the times their schedules will normally begin and end prior to the start of the academic year. Staffing needs and operational demands may necessitate variations in starting and ending times, as well as variations in the total hours that may be scheduled each day and week.

  Job description

  • Respond to inquiries and messages
  • Answer inbound calls and make outbound calls
  • Answer walk-ins questions
  • Speak with current families
  • Assist with the registration process
  • Collect monthly tuition payments, costume fees, etc
  • Review information for errors & update as needed
  • Maintain studio appearance
  • Ability to work with the team and take initiative including resolving issues

  Experience/Skills:

  • Customer service experience including handling & resolving customer issues
  • Computer savvy with a working knowledge of MS Word, or Excel
