offers Boys’ Ballet Classes on Fridays
Beginning Boys’ Ballet: Friday 4:30-5:30 pm
This class is taught by a male teacher building on specific strength and movement qualities necessary for male dancers while bringing boys together in a positive environment building mutual camaraderie. The class includes gentle stretching, coordinating movements such as the difference between galloping and skipping, basic ballet terminology. This class works on continually building coordination and strength, listening and social skills, and musicality while building classical ballet basics appropriate for these ages 7 -12.
Boys’ Ballet I: Friday 5:30-7:30 pm
For boys with experience and through evaluation. This level increases the amount of time needed to maintain focus and includes building more structure into their learning experience. The class includes additional strength training for young men ages 12 and older including working on more intensive turns and jumps as well as opportunities to take pas de deux classes throughout the year.
