Advance reserve tickets may be purchased at the studio for only $15 for adults and $10 for children under 12 and seniors. Tickets purchased at the theater the day of the shows are all $20.

Cleveland City Dance Company Auditions Sunday April 17
The Cleveland City Dance Company (CCDC) audition is open to all serious dancers of ballet ages 11-19. The company has two annual performances in June and December as well as performs at Festivals and local schools. The audition is also the day when you may apply for the E. John Busser Scholarship if you are ages 13-19. All potential Company members must audition in May prior to the upcoming season. This includes all current Company members. The audition class will be taught by the Company Artistic and Executive Director, Courtney J. Laves-Mearini and judged by a professional dancer not affiliated with the Cleveland City Dance school or CCDC Company. Previous judges have been Jennifer Savnovos formerly of Ballet Theater of Ohio and Samantha Basford formerly of the Miami City Ballet. This year Brian Murphy of the Verb Ballets will return. If unable to attend the May audition, it is be possible to schedule an alternative audition with the Artistic Director of the Company, Courtney J. Laves-Mearini. In lieu of an in-personal audition, one may submit a DVD audition. The DVD audition requirements are:

A 15-20 minutes demonstration of barre and center technique. The barre technique shown should include plies, battement tendus, battement jete, ronde de jambe, passe, developpe en croix, grande battements and balances on one leg. The center technique should include adagio, pirouettes, petite allegro and grande allegro. (For advance female dancers the center should be on pointe.).

A classical variation one to two minutes in length. (On pointe for advanced ladies) This is to show your technical abilities along with performing presence.
